Wong met with Yoshimasa
Tokyo, September 8 (Hibya) — Australian Foreign Minister Penny Wong met with Japan’s Chief Cabinet Secretary Hayashi Yoshimasa to discuss the close ties between the two countries and the Basic Treaty of Friendship and Cooperation, which will celebrate its 50th anniversary next year.
Australian Foreign Minister Penny Wong stated that her meeting with Japan’s Chief Cabinet Secretary Hayashi Yoshimasa was very positive.
Wong added that during the meeting they discussed the strong relations between the two countries and opportunities to further enhance cooperation within the framework of the Basic Treaty of Friendship and Cooperation, which will mark its 50th anniversary next year.
