Yeşilgöz: Attention to Ukraine must not be pushed into the background
Amsterdam, March 22 (Hibya) - Dutch Minister of Defence Dilan Yeşilgöz-Zegerius emphasized that the conflicts in the Middle East should not reduce attention to Ukraine, stating that Ukraine’s struggle is of critical importance for Europe’s security and freedom.
Dutch Minister of Defence Dilan Yeşilgöz-Zegerius made a statement highlighting the need to maintain continuous support for Ukraine at a time when the global agenda is focused on developments in the Middle East.
Stating that the attention of the international community should not be distracted, Yeşilgöz-Zegerius said: "Amid the conflicts in the Middle East, attention to Ukraine must not be pushed into the background. The Netherlands continues to fully support Ukraine."
Referring to the strategic importance of the war in Ukraine for Europe, the Minister said: "The struggle there is not only about their future, but also about our security and freedom here."
