Zakharova: The EU’s debt-funded rearmament places a burden on future generations
Moscow, 27 November (Hibya) – Russian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Maria Zakharova stated that the European Union is increasingly relying on public borrowing.
Zakharova announced that the EU is turning more and more to public debt in order to finance its rearmament efforts.
She said, “This policy shifts the burden of military spending onto future generations.”
Zakharova added, “Combined with Europe’s demographic decline, this debt will become an even heavier burden on children and grandchildren.”
