Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky held a meeting with Belgian Prime Minister Bart De Wever, who chose Ukraine as the destination of his first official visit after assuming office.

Zelensky stated that they discussed joint weapons production and investment in manufacturing within Ukrainian territory, and said:

"Our current defense potential is also the potential of all of Europe to deter any hostile activity against it. Since the first days of the full-scale invasion, Belgium has consistently stood by us, providing defense, political, and humanitarian support, as well as assistance to Belgians in Ukraine."
