Zelensky: Independence of anti-corruption institutions is important
Kyiv, August 2 (Hibya) – Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky held a meeting with NABU Director Semen Kryvonos and SAPO Head Oleksandr Klymenko.
Zelensky stated that Kryvonos and Klymenko submitted a report.
He noted that allegations of bribery had emerged involving a Ukrainian MP, heads of district and city administrations, and several National Guard soldiers. “I am grateful to the anti-corruption institutions for their work,” he said.
Zelensky emphasized that zero tolerance for corruption, clear teamwork in uncovering it, and ultimately fair punishment are possible. “The independence of anti-corruption institutions is important, and the law adopted on Thursday guarantees them all the tools necessary for a real fight against corruption,” he concluded.
