Zelensky stated that Russia had deployed its largest military force toward Pokrovsk, but it was there that it also suffered its heaviest losses.

He said that Ukrainian units continue to carry out their tasks. Zelensky announced that in the first eight months of the year, Russia lost more than 290,000 soldiers killed or severely wounded. He pointed out that the vast majority of these losses occurred in the Donetsk region, emphasizing that Russia had failed to achieve its strategic objectives.

Zelensky also noted that efforts to stabilize certain sections of the front line were ongoing. He thanked all the units that each week strengthened Ukraine’s “exchange fund” with captured Russian soldiers.

He added that the meetings also evaluated in detail the situation in the Zaporizhzhia direction and the developments along the border in Sumy and Kharkiv regions. Zelensky stated that all necessary preparations for Ukraine’s defense had been completed and that new deep strikes were being planned.
