Ukrainian President Zelensky spoke at the First Ladies and Gentlemen Summit.

Thanking the participants of the summit for standing by Ukraine, Zelensky said: “This summit is dedicated to those who must prevail in this war. Of course, to our independence, our sovereign state, our brave people. But above all — to humanity. Humanity must prevail.”

Noting that some politicians claim the war is only about territory, Zelensky added:

“Yes, we are fighting for our land, and this is just. The closer Russia gets, the less life remains. Cities once filled with people and prosperity turn into ruins and emptiness.”
