Zelensky: We appreciate Japan's steps to increase pressure on Russia
Kyiv, September 12 (Hibya) - Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky thanked the Japanese government for the new sanctions package against Russia.
Ukrainian President Zelensky stated that they appreciate Japan's determined steps to increase pressure on Russia.
He announced that Japan had joined the $47.60 price cap on Russian oil and added: "This will significantly affect the Kremlin's financial capacity. I also thank Japan for the sanctions against companies in Russia's military-industrial complex. These include a major producer of Iskander missiles, several shadow fleet operators, and companies supplying the Russian military-industrial complex from China, Turkey, and the UAE."
Zelensky further said that sanctions were also applied to individuals involved in the deportation of children, stating: "Such steps strengthen the joint pressure on the aggressor and bring us closer to the outcome we are all working for. I thank Japan for these new sanction decisions. It is important that all other partners in the world who value life and want this war to end exert pressure on everything that fuels Russia's ability to continue the massacres."
