Zelensky: We are working closely with the US to provide Patriot systems to Ukraine
Kyiv, October 20 (Hibya) – Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky announced that his country continues to work with the United States to secure Patriot air defense systems to strengthen Ukraine’s defense capabilities.
In his statement, Zelensky said: “We are working together with the United States to ensure that Ukraine has access to the necessary number of Patriot systems. It’s not an easy task, but it serves as a long-term guarantee for Ukraine’s security.”
He added that, during his meetings in Washington, he spoke with representatives of companies producing Patriot systems and other defense equipment. “The willingness to work with Ukraine is fully sufficient; there is trust in us. What is important now is that this support continues strongly at the political level in Washington,” Zelensky said.
