Zelensky: We have reached an extremely important agreement on gas supplies to Ukraine
Kyiv, 16 November (Hibya) – Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky announced that during his meeting with Greek Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis, a Letter of Intent was signed regarding the supply of natural gas to Ukraine for the upcoming winter period.
President Zelensky stated that Greece is helping Ukraine by working with Europe and other partners to create conditions in which peace can be achieved.
He noted that today they reached an agreement on supplying gas to Ukraine, adding that during his meeting with Prime Minister Mitsotakis, a Letter of Intent for gas supplies this winter was signed. Zelensky continued:
"The agreements we reached today with Greece are an important part of the comprehensive energy package we are preparing for winter to secure gas supplies for Ukraine. Deliveries will begin in January. In addition to the fast-track supply agreement, there are also long-term arrangements."
