Ethiopian Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed announced in a social media post that they had assessed the performance of winter agricultural activities in the Bale Region.

Abiy Ahmed noted that there had been serious concerns about low rainfall during the winter season but said agricultural activities had achieved good results thanks to advance preparations undertaken by the government and the public.

Emphasizing that the economy must maintain its resilience in the face of both human-made and natural challenges, Abiy Ahmed highlighted the importance of preparing in advance and expanding available alternatives.
