Al Sani: Our national security depends on the stability of the region
Doha, December 6 (Hibya) – Qatar’s Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al Sani, stated that their national security relies on the stability of the region.
Prime Minister Al Sani spoke at the session titled “Mediation in an Era of Fragmentation” during the 23rd Doha Forum.
Emphasizing that their national security is based on regional stability, Al Sani said: “As a small country, it is impossible for us to become a superpower through military strength; however, we can reach out to the world through diplomacy, investment, and partnerships. This is precisely what shapes the influential role of the State of Qatar.”
Al Sani stated that a ceasefire cannot be achieved until Israeli forces withdraw completely and stability is restored in Gaza, adding:
“It is not enough to try to resolve only the tragedy of the past two years, because this conflict has roots — it concerns the West Bank and the Palestinians’ right to statehood. We will continue striving to find a lasting solution that ensures justice for both peoples.”
