Albares: The attacks against Lebanon must stop immediately
Madrid, April 9 (Hibya) - Spanish Minister of Foreign Affairs, European Union and Cooperation Jose Manuel Albares said that during his meeting with Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan, they discussed the ceasefire process in the Middle East and developments in the Strait of Hormuz, calling for the ongoing attacks against Lebanon to stop.
Spanish Minister of Foreign Affairs, European Union and Cooperation Jose Manuel Albares made a statement regarding his diplomatic contacts with his Turkish counterpart Hakan Fidan and regional security.
Providing information on the content of the meeting, Albares said, "We just spoke with my Turkish counterpart Hakan Fidan about the situation in the Middle East and the developments in Hormuz after the ceasefire; we support this."
Emphasizing that the process should evolve into lasting peace, Albares stated, "We are working for this to turn into lasting peace."
Drawing attention to the humanitarian situation and military activity in Lebanon, Albares said, "The attacks against Lebanon must stop immediately; the country is facing a critical situation."
