Araghchi: Iranians never bow to pressure
Tehran, May 8 (Hibya) - Iranian Foreign Minister Seyed Abbas Araghchi stated that the United States turns to military methods whenever the possibility of a diplomatic solution arises, adding that Iran will not surrender to pressure.
Araghchi criticized the US administration, arguing that Washington prefers military interventions instead of diplomatic processes.
In his statement, Araghchi said, “Whenever a diplomatic solution comes to the table, the US turns every time to an irresponsible military adventure.” The Iranian minister questioned whether this was a crude pressure tactic or an attempt to drag the US president into a new conflict.
The Iranian diplomat stated that regardless of the reason, the outcome would not change, adding, “Iranians never bow to pressure.”
Araghchi’s remarks came at a time when rising tensions and discussions over a fragile ceasefire between Iran and the United States around the Strait of Hormuz continue.
