Araghchi met with his Jordanian counterpart Safadi
Tehran, 18 November (Hibya) – Iranian Foreign Minister Seyyed Abbas Araghchi held a meeting with Jordan’s Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Ayman Safadi.
During the meeting, the two sides discussed bilateral relations as well as regional and international developments, exchanging views on the importance of strengthening bilateral cooperation on issues of mutual interest.
The two foreign ministers also consulted on the upcoming meeting of the IAEA Board of Governors and the draft resolution submitted by three European countries regarding Iran’s nuclear issue.
The situation in Palestine and Gaza, the implications of the newly adopted UN Security Council resolution, the necessity of stopping the killing of the Palestinian people and ending genocide, and the imperative of fully realizing the rights of the Palestinian nation — particularly the right to self-determination and the establishment of an independent Palestinian state — were also among the main topics of discussion.
