Australian Foreign Minister Wong meets with counterpart Freitas
Canberra, July 11 (Hibya) – Australian Foreign Minister Penny Wong met with East Timor’s Minister of Foreign Affairs and Cooperation, Bendito Freitas.
Australian Foreign Minister Penny Wong held a meeting with East Timor’s Minister of Foreign Affairs and Cooperation, Bendito Freitas.
Wong stated that Australia is East Timor’s largest development partner, saying: “We are proud to support East Timor’s accession to ASEAN. At the ASEAN Foreign Ministers’ Meeting held in Malaysia, I told my counterpart Bendito Freitas that we will continue to support East Timor’s economic resilience.”
