Berendsen: EU expands sanctions targeting Russia’s war industry
Amsterdam, October 12 (Hibya) - Dutch Foreign Minister Tom Berendsen said the European Union had increased pressure on Russia’s war industry by adding nearly 1,600 new individuals and entities to its sanctions list. Berendsen said the Netherlands would continue working on a new sanctions package targeting Russia’s economy and shadow fleet.
Dutch Foreign Minister Berendsen made a statement on the European Union’s expansion of sanctions against Russia.
Berendsen said the addition of nearly 1,600 new individuals and entities to the sanctions list was the largest expansion since the start of the war.
Welcoming the European Union’s increased pressure on Russia’s war industry, Berendsen said the Netherlands would continue working on a new sanctions package targeting Russia’s war economy and shadow fleet.
