Borrell: Time to hold accountable those who are complicit in the death of civilians through their silence
Brussels, July 26 (Hibya) - EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Josep Borrell stated that it is time to hold accountable those who are complicit in the death of civilians through their silence.
Josep Borrell said that the images of children dying of hunger have prompted even Germany to call for an end to this tragedy.
Questioning how this could be achieved while refusing to impose any sanctions on Israel, Borrell said: “Beautiful words do not feed the hungry. What is happening just 500 km from Europe's borders is not only a humanitarian disaster but also a moral crisis that shakes all of humanity. It is time to hold accountable those who, through their silence, have become complicit in the deaths of so many civilians from hunger and bombs.”
