Budrys: Lithuania fully supports the European Commission
Vilnius, July 14 (Hibya) – Lithuanian Foreign Minister Kestutis Budrys stated that Lithuania fully supports the European Commission in its efforts to find a balanced and constructive solution through dialogue and negotiations.
Foreign Minister Budrys emphasized that customs tariffs have never been an effective solution to real economic difficulties throughout history.
He noted that the EU has always strongly supported fair trade, guided by internationally recognized rules and regulations, and added:
"Under the current circumstances, it is vital to avoid any escalation of tensions in relations with the United States. We face significant common challenges, both geo-economically and geopolitically, which require close cooperation and a constructive approach."
Budrys concluded by reaffirming that Lithuania fully supports the European Commission in its efforts to find a balanced and constructive solution through dialogue and negotiations.
