Budrys: Ukraine should be provided with stronger air defense and long-range capabilities
Vilnius, October 7 (Hibya) - Lithuanian Foreign Minister Kestutis Budrys said at least 15 people were killed in Russia's attack on Ukraine, stressing that Ukraine should be provided with stronger air defense and long-range capabilities.
Lithuanian Foreign Minister Kestutis Budrys made a statement regarding Russia's attack on Ukraine.
Budrys said civilians and civilian infrastructure were targeted in the attacks and that at least 15 people were killed. He said a residential building was destroyed in the city of Pryluky, killing at least nine people, including three children, and added that search and rescue efforts were continuing.
Arguing that Russia's statements about ending the war do not match its actions on the ground, Budrys said Ukraine should be provided with stronger air defense and long-range capabilities, as well as sustained military and financial support.
Budrys also said sanctions and other pressure measures targeting Russia's war-fighting capacity should be maintained, adding that Lithuania's support for Ukraine would continue.
