According to a statement by the Bulgarian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Bulgarian Foreign Minister Velislava Petrova and Slovak Minister of Foreign and European Affairs Juraj Blanar discussed the development of relations between Bulgaria and Slovakia, as well as opportunities for closer cooperation on common European interests.

According to the Bulgarian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the meeting addressed opportunities to expand cooperation in the fields of energy, transport connectivity, innovation and new technologies.

The meeting was held as part of Slovak Prime Minister Robert Fico's official visit to Bulgaria. Petrova took part in the official Bulgarian delegation and also participated in the plenary talks between the Bulgarian and Slovak delegations.

The two ministers also highlighted opportunities to develop political dialogue between Bulgaria and Slovakia through concrete initiatives and partnerships. Sharing good practices for developing public-private partnerships, investing in new technologies and expanding cooperation in the energy sector were among the priority areas discussed at the meeting.
