Bulgarian Foreign Minister Petrova attends NATO Summit in Ankara
Ankara, July 8 (Hibya) - Bulgarian Foreign Minister Velislava Petrova attended the NATO Summit held in Ankara on July 7-8 as part of the delegation led by Bulgarian Prime Minister Rumen Radev.
According to a statement by the Bulgarian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Bulgarian Foreign Minister Velislava Petrova participated in the NATO Summit held in Ankara on July 7-8 together with the delegation headed by Bulgarian Prime Minister Rumen Radev.
On the first day of the forum, Petrova attended the meeting of NATO foreign ministers and the partners of the Istanbul Cooperation Initiative, namely Bahrain, Qatar, Kuwait, and the United Arab Emirates.
Speaking during the session on security dynamics in the Middle East and options for deepening the Alliance's cooperation with regional partners, Minister Petrova highlighted the crisis in the Persian Gulf, tensions involving Iran, the strategic importance of the Strait of Hormuz, and the sensitivity of global energy markets.
Petrova emphasized that these developments strengthen global security interconnections and stressed the need to enhance political dialogue with regional countries and make effective use of tailored partnership programs.
