As part of the working program, Chief Commissioner Boyan Raev, Director General for Combating Organized Crime, Chief Commissioner Anton Zlatanov, Director General of Border Police, Ivaylo Genkov, the Ministry’s external representative in the U.S., Canada, and Mexico, and GDBOP engineer-inspector Petar Stefanov met with Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP) Commissioner and IACP Vice President Liam Price.

During the meeting, the parties discussed possibilities to strengthen coordination and operational cooperation in areas such as combating international drug trafficking, joint operations against organized criminal networks, cybercrime prevention, border security, and cross-border collaboration.

Both sides expressed their determination to expand active partnership and cooperation between Bulgarian security services and the Royal Canadian Mounted Police. It was emphasized that Bulgarian-Canadian security cooperation has development potential at both operational and strategic levels. In this context, the sides aimed to establish permanent communication channels, increase information exchange, and implement joint initiatives to protect common security.
