Deniz polisinden Adalar çevresinde 'deniz taksi' denetimi

According to a statement from Bulgaria's Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Deputy Foreign Minister Hristo Polendakov discussed international cooperation in artificial intelligence and Bulgaria's role in the field with representatives of the Alliance for the Sustainable Development of Artificial Intelligence (AURSI).

Polendakov met with AURSI Board Chairman Ivaylo Petrov, Vice Chair Assoc. Prof. Dr. Milena Angelova and representatives of the Alliance. The meeting addressed opportunities to deepen cooperation and promote Bulgaria's artificial intelligence (AI) ecosystem more actively on the international stage.

The main agenda of the meeting focused on the international governance of artificial intelligence and preparations for the Second Global Dialogue on AI Governance, to be held in New York in May 2027. Polendakov expressed Bulgaria's interest in taking a more active role in the process and in the possibility of participating as a co-facilitator, requesting AURSI's expert contribution in this regard.

The meeting also discussed drawing on the expertise of Bulgaria's AI ecosystem in implementing artificial intelligence in the work of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, as well as promoting Bulgarian companies, scientific and technological organizations and experts on international platforms.

Polendakov stated that innovation and technological progress in the development of artificial intelligence should be addressed together with trust, human oversight, human rights, human dignity, security and the protection of democratic principles. In this context, he also drew attention to protecting children's rights in the age of artificial intelligence.
