Carney: Russia must now come to the table in good faith
Ottawa, May 10 (Hibya) – Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney stated that if Russia chooses to reject or delay the ceasefire, additional and harsher sanctions will be imposed.
Canadian Prime Minister Carney announced he had spoken with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky and most of his closest allies in the Coalition of the Willing.
Carney emphasized their ongoing support for an immediate and unconditional 30-day ceasefire, stating:
"A path to peace has been proposed. It is possible to end this senseless and brutal war. Russia must now come to the table in good faith."
Carney added that if Russia chooses to reject or delay the ceasefire, additional and harsher sanctions will be imposed.
