Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney extended his condolences following the death of Norway’s King Harald V, highlighting the late King’s sense of service and offering condolences to the Royal Family and the Norwegian people on behalf of Canadians.

Emphasizing King Harald V’s contribution to his country, Carney said, “For more than three decades, King Harald V served Norway with a deep sense of duty.”

Stating that he shared the grief of the Norwegian people, Carney said, “Today, together with the people of Norway, I share our sorrow over his passing.”

Carney concluded his statement by saying, “On behalf of all Canadians, I extend my deepest condolences to Queen Sonja, the Royal Family and the people of Norway.”
