Costa: We are determined to support Syria’s recovery and reconstruction
Brussels, December 8 (Hibya) – European Council President Antonio Costa stated that the European Union is determined to support Syria’s recovery and reconstruction.
Costa noted that one year after the fall of the Assad regime, Syrians are taking steps toward a more stable and inclusive future.
He emphasized that the EU, by standing with Syria, supports a Syrian-led peaceful process focused on justice, reconciliation, and the rights of all Syrians. Costa said:
“Challenges persist, but we remain committed to political dialogue, urgent humanitarian support, and Syria’s recovery and reconstruction.”
