He emphasized that the United Kingdom is an important trade partner for them and that mutual trade reached nearly 14 billion euros last year. “Our exports increased by over 23%. Fiala stated that one of the topics would be nuclear energy: “The cooperation agreement signed last year between CEZ and Rolls-Royce SMR to develop small modular reactors is a significant step. We will discuss expanding the agreement. Our goal is for the Czech Republic to become as energy self-sufficient as possible in the future and to ensure that Czechs have access to sufficient and affordable energy.”
