Romanian President Dan held a phone call with Ukrainian President Zelensky. Dan conveyed to Zelensky his view that a comprehensive and lasting peace in Ukraine is needed to stop Russia's daily atrocities, saying: "Romania supports President Trump's efforts to reach a solution. Any agreement must be fair, long-lasting, and sustainable. Peace should be achieved at the negotiation table with Ukraine."

Dan emphasized that Romania supports Ukraine's sovereignty, independence, and territorial integrity, adding:

"Romania, as a neighbor and partner, will continue to stand by Ukraine in all efforts to achieve a just peace for the people of Ukraine. Ukraine's security is closely linked to the security of the Black Sea and Europe."
