Rutte: The ball is now in Putin's court
Brussels, August 13 (Hibya) - NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte said they are working together to end the war against Ukraine and achieve a just and lasting peace, stressing that the ball is now in Russian President Vladimir Putin's court.
Rutte stated that before U.S. President Donald Trump's meeting with Russian President Putin in Alaska, they held a phone call with Trump, Zelensky, and European leaders.
Emphasizing that they are working together to end this terrible war against Ukraine and achieve a just and lasting peace, Rutte said: "I appreciate Trump's leadership and his close coordination with allies. The ball is now in Putin's court."
