Dar: Austerity measures reviewed to ensure efficient use of public resources
Islamabad, September 29 (Hibya) - A meeting chaired by Pakistan’s Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Muhammad Ishaq Dar was held to review progress in implementing measures aimed at austerity and resource conservation.
Pakistan’s Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Senator Dar chaired a meeting of the Committee for Monitoring and Implementation of Austerity and Additional Austerity Measures.
The meeting reviewed progress made in implementing measures aimed at austerity and resource conservation. Discussions also covered ensuring fiscal discipline and the prudent use of public resources.
Dar instructed all relevant ministries and departments to fully and effectively implement the decisions taken at previous meetings.
The meeting was attended by the Minister for Information Technology and Telecommunication, Minister for Climate Change and Environmental Coordination Dr. Musadik Malik, the Special Assistant to the Prime Minister for Foreign Affairs, the Cabinet Secretary, and officials from the ministries of Interior, Finance, Foreign Affairs, Commerce, Law and Justice, and Climate Change and Environmental Coordination.
