Dar: Multilateral cooperation must be strengthened for global peace
Islamabad, November 11 (Hibya) – Pakistan’s Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister, Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar, spoke at the opening session of the 6th Margalla Dialogue.
Dar thanked the Islamabad Policy Research Institute (IPRI) for organizing the event and emphasized that the conference titled “The Future of Global Order: Cooperation or Conflict?” is highly significant in both timing and content.
In his remarks, Dar highlighted the importance of multilateralism in an era dominated by unilateral policies, polarization, and trade wars, stressing that international institutions must be strengthened to address global challenges.
Ishaq Dar noted that issues such as climate change, terrorism, and the erosion of international law and norms pose serious threats to global peace, security, and development, calling for the restoration of international cooperation and justice.
