EU Commissioner Lahbib issues warning on Gaza
Brussels, September 16 (Hibya) – European Union Commissioner for Equality, Preparedness and Crisis Management, Hadja Lahbib, highlighted the importance of protecting civilians and respecting international humanitarian law at a time when Israel is intensifying its operations in Gaza City.
In a statement on social media, Lahbib said: “As Israel intensifies its operations in Gaza City, the protection of civilians and respect for international humanitarian law must remain our compass.”
This statement by Commissioner Lahbib came just ahead of key meetings scheduled to take place in New York within the framework of the United Nations General Assembly.
