European stock markets decline
Istanbul, October 2 (Hibya) – Major indices traded on European stock markets ended the day lower.
Germany's DAX index fell 1.03 percent to 24,939.35 points. The FTSE 100 index in the United Kingdom lost 1.68 percent to 10,428.27 points, while France's CAC 40 index declined 1.62 percent to 7,835.31 points.
The Euro Stoxx 50 index, reflecting the overall performance of the region, fell 1.48 percent to 6,176.55 points. In Spain, the IBEX 35 index dropped sharply by 2.17 percent to 19,005.30 points, while Portugal's PSI index declined 1.97 percent to 9,476.60 points. Switzerland's SMI index fell 1.50 percent to 13,622.85 points, and the AEX index in the Netherlands dropped 1.10 percent to 1,102.63 points.
In the Russian stock market, the RTSI index remained flat at 862.25 points, while the MOEX Russia index was unchanged at 2,278.53 points.
