Explosions occurred in Tehran, the capital of Iran
Tehran, March 23 (Hibya) - Tehran, the capital of Iran, was shaken by major explosions in the early hours of the morning. The Israeli army announced that it had carried out a large-scale operation targeting the city’s infrastructure.
According to CCTV, around 05:10 local time, numerous explosions and the sounds of warplanes were heard across Tehran.
Immediately after the explosions, the city’s air defense systems were activated at multiple locations.
The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) confirmed in a statement around 04:00 that they had carried out large-scale strikes targeting critical infrastructure in Tehran.
It was reported that detailed assessments of the operation’s targets and results are ongoing, while military activity in the region continues.
It was stated that security measures in Tehran were raised to the highest level after the attack.
