FBI arrests 8,629 people in "Summer Heat" operation
Washington DC, October 16 (Hibya) – FBI Director Kash Patel congratulated Deputy Director Dan Bongino for the “Summer Heat” operation, during which 8,629 people were arrested.
Patel also thanked all the men and women within the FBI who supported the operation.
The operations were conducted between June 24 and September 20, 2025, resulting in a total of 8,629 arrests.
During the operations, 2,281 firearms were seized, 557 children were identified, 7,757 searches were conducted, 421 kilograms of fentanyl and 44,569 kilograms of cocaine were confiscated, and indictments were prepared for 2,081 individuals.
It was reported that local defense forces also provided support for the operations.
