Ghebreyesus: 20 patients evacuated from Gaza for urgent treatment
Geneva, November 1 (Hibya) – World Health Organization (WHO) Director-General Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus announced that 19 children and one adult patient have been evacuated from Gaza for urgent medical treatment.
Ghebreyesus stated that the evacuation of 19 children and one adult from Gaza has been completed.
He added that four of the evacuated children will receive cancer treatment under the St. Jude Research Program, while the other patients will receive specialized medical care in Jordan.
Ghebreyesus emphasized that more than 16,500 patients in Gaza are in urgent need of specialized care, calling for the opening of all evacuation corridors and greater international solidarity.
