Ghebreyesus: Health needs in Gaza are enormous
Geneva, July 30 (Hibya) – World Health Organization (WHO) Director-General Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus stated that health needs in Gaza are enormous.
WHO Director-General Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus announced that the organization has dispatched a shipment of 10 trucks carrying essential medicines, laboratory and water testing equipment from Egypt’s El Arish to the Kerem Shalom crossing for Gaza.
He noted that two additional trucks carrying medical supplies and 12 pallets of blood products are expected to arrive tomorrow, and added:
"All WHO aid, along with three trucks from health partners carrying medical supplies, will be delivered to Gaza. Health needs in Gaza are immense. The continuous flow of medical supplies is vital. We continue to call for an urgent ceasefire and for sustained, safe, and unhindered access to medical aid into and within Gaza."
