New York, August 26 (Hibya) - United Nations Secretary-General Antonio Guterres stated that Africa has everything required to become a renewable energy superpower, from sun and wind to the minerals needed for clean technologies.
UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres said that Africa has everything it takes to become a renewable energy superpower – from solar and wind to the minerals needed for clean technologies.
However, he noted that Africa receives only a very small share of global renewable energy investments, adding: "We must mobilize finance and technology to ensure that Africa’s natural wealth benefits first and foremost the people of Africa."
