UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres declared that the ocean covers a large portion of the Earth and sustains life on the entire planet.
Guterres added, “Today, the ocean needs our help. The signs are clear: waters overflowing with plastic, disappearing marine ecosystems, rising temperatures, and sea levels. We must support what supports us. The upcoming United Nations Ocean Conference will be a vital moment to renew the world’s collective commitment to the ocean.”
