Guterres: There is an opportunity to build a safe future for everyone in Syria
New York, 8 December (Hibya) – UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres stated that the UN is determined to work with Syrians to ensure the success of the transition process in Syria.
Guterres said: “It has been one year since the fall of the Assad government, and before us lies an opportunity to build a nation where every Syrian – regardless of ethnicity, religion, gender, or political opinion – can live in safety, equality and dignity.”
He emphasized that the UN is fully committed to working with Syrians to ensure the success of this transition period.
