According to CCTV, Hamas reiterated its commitment to the understanding reached with mediators and the US-led "Board of Peace" regarding the implementation of the second phase of the ceasefire agreement currently in effect in Gaza.

In a statement issued on Sunday, Hamas called on mediators to establish a clear and specific timetable for implementing the second phase of the ceasefire agreement.

The statement said the priority was the full implementation of the agreement with all its phases and requirements.

Hamas stressed that the second phase should particularly ensure a complete end to the fighting, a halt to attacks against the people of Gaza and the full withdrawal of Israeli forces from the territory.

The statement also said that crossings should be opened, humanitarian aid and shelter materials should be allowed into Gaza, the reconstruction process should begin and the National Committee should be enabled to carry out its duties.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, meanwhile, announced on Sunday that Israel had rejected the 15-point Gaza peace roadmap presented by the US-led "Board of Peace."

Netanyahu maintained that Israeli forces would not withdraw from Gaza until Hamas was completely disarmed.

Israel's position represents a significant divergence from Hamas' objectives for the second phase of the ceasefire agreement, which include a full withdrawal and an end to the fighting.

According to Gaza-based health authorities, more than 1,250 people have been killed and more than 4,100 injured in Israeli attacks in Gaza since the ceasefire between Hamas and Israel took effect in October 2025.
