Ireland’s Minister for Foreign Affairs, Trade and Defence and Deputy Prime Minister Simon Harris announced that he will chair the next meeting of the Government Trade Forum.

In his statement, Harris said: "We are bringing together all relevant Ministers, state agencies, business representative groups, unions, and stakeholders. This is an opportunity to share the latest developments and work together on areas where we can exert control. The 90-day 'pause' period created a space for engagement, but now there is no time to waste. This week, I will also hold discussions with many of my European counterparts regarding trade, customs tariffs, and the ongoing relationship between the EU and the United States."
