Israeli President Isaac Herzog issued a message reflecting on the life story and book of Roy Ben Tulila, whom he received together with his wife, Michal Herzog.

Referring to Tulila's rehabilitation journey and his contributions to society, Herzog said, "Roy Ben Tulila, who was seriously injured during his military service in 2004, turned his personal rehabilitation journey into a mission."

Herzog noted that Tulila moved forward with his life, saying, "He built a wonderful family and, at the Beit Halochem, he shares tools that help people redirect their lives and thrive after a serious injury."

Expressing his pleasure at the meeting, Herzog said, "Michal and I were delighted this evening to meet him and his lovely family and to receive from him his important book, 'From the Heart - The War After the War,' in which he tells the story of his life and his journey of rehabilitation and coping, which continued long after the war itself."
