IDF: Israeli Police will provide protection against any form of violence
Jerusalem, December 4 (Hibya) – The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) announced that masked Israeli civilians attacked Palestinian vehicles on Highway 60 and set one vehicle on fire.
According to the IDF statement, IDF forces and Israeli Police were dispatched to the Shilo Junction area under the Samaria Brigade following reports that dozens of masked Israeli civilians were throwing stones at Palestinian vehicles and burning tires after the evacuation of an illegal outpost.
The IDF stated that a group of Israelis set fire to a vehicle belonging to Palestinians; firefighting teams from the Judea and Samaria region worked to extinguish the fire, and a fire investigator was sent to determine the cause.
The statement added: “It is known that a Palestinian woman affected by smoke was evacuated by an Israeli passerby and later received first aid from the Red Crescent at the entrance of the Ali settlement. Many Palestinians were injured due to the stone-throwing, and one vehicle was damaged. The IDF and Israeli Police will provide protection against any form of violence and will act accordingly.”
