Iran condemns Israeli drone attack on aid ship bound for Gaza
Tehran, May 3 (Hibya) – Iranian Foreign Ministry Spokesman Esmaeil Baghaei strongly condemned the Israeli drone attack on a ship in international waters off the coast of Malta.
Baghaei stated that the ship was carrying food and humanitarian aid to the Gaza Strip.
Referring to the ongoing genocide through bombings and enforced famine in Gaza, he said the attack was a clear crime against the Palestinian people and a terrorist act aimed at maintaining the blockade on food and medicine and threatening the safety of maritime navigation.
Baghaei emphasized that depriving Gaza’s wounded, sick, and mourning children and women of food, water, and medicine constitutes a war crime and a crime against humanity, and is an attack on the foundations of international humanitarian law.
