Iranian and Saudi foreign ministers hold phone call
Tehran, 28 January (Hibya) – Iranian Foreign Minister Seyed Abbas Araghchi and Saudi Foreign Minister Faisal bin Farhan discussed developments in West Asia, warning that any potential escalation in the region would harm peace and stability.
Iranian Foreign Minister Araghchi held a phone conversation on Wednesday with Saudi Foreign Minister Farhan as part of his diplomatic contacts.
During the call, the main points of the constructive contacts between Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian and Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman were reviewed, and views were exchanged on regional and international developments.
Araghchi and Farhan warned that escalating tensions in West Asia could have dangerous consequences for regional peace and stability, stressing the shared responsibility of all countries in the region and the need for joint efforts to preserve security and stability.
