Italian Prime Minister Meloni meets with Chinese counterpart
Rome, November 22 (Hibya) – Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni met with Chinese Prime Minister Li Qiang in Johannesburg.
Prime Minister Meloni announced that she met with Chinese Prime Minister Li Qiang on the sidelines of the G20 Summit in Johannesburg.
She expressed that the meeting provided an opportunity to assess the implementation of the 2024-2027 Three-Year Action Plan, adding: "In this context, by recalling the 55th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Italy and China, we confirmed the importance of maintaining a constructive dialogue in all sectors of mutual interest."
Meloni also discussed how to promote the balanced development of trade and mutual investments, and how to strengthen scientific and cultural cooperation, saying: "Finally, I emphasized the need to ensure equal conditions for companies operating in international markets and to guarantee the security of global supply chains, especially regarding critical components for industrial production."
