Dutch Prime Minister Rob Jetten highlighted the importance of the supermarket sector in food supply in a statement shared on his social media account.

Jetten stated that recent global unrest has led to price increases and greater dependence of food supply chains on information and communication systems, emphasizing the importance of cooperation between the government and supermarkets.

In this context, Jetten announced that he had met with representatives of AHOLD, a Netherlands-based international supermarket chain, to discuss measures and strategies aimed at ensuring food security during times of crisis.
