Kallas: "Russia cannot access its assets without paying for the damages"
Brussels, August 30 (Hibya) - European Union High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy and Vice-President of the European Commission, Kaja Kallas, highlighted the scale of the destruction caused by Russia in Ukraine.
Kaja Kallas, the EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy and Vice-President of the European Commission, stressed the extent of the destruction caused by Russia in Ukraine, stating that Moscow cannot regain access to its frozen assets without compensating for these damages.
Kallas noted that the issue was discussed today at the meeting of EU foreign ministers, adding: "Russia has inflicted massive destruction on Ukraine. Until these damages are compensated, it is unthinkable that Russia should regain access to its frozen assets."
